I don't think the Chinese are keeping the Yuan artificially low in order to tank the US or any other economy that is a major buyer of Chinese products. Maintaining a relatively low Yuan keeps Chinese exports attractively priced which keeps Chinese factories busy and its economy growing.
We became a debtor nation under the greatest generation every. We baby boomers are just following in their footsteps although doing it bigger and better.
