Either that or he's a Kenyan Born Muslim. There are people all over the place that believe things without the benefit of facts. What the ill-informed believe has no bearing over what is actually accomplished.

Say did you read the story the other day about how the Latino's are angry with the President because his deportations have far outnumbered those of his predecessors. Nevertheless there are people who want to perpetuate the myth that Obama has been responsible for an open border.

Just sayin'

Yeah, I heard that. Seems to me it would be easier/cheaper to stop them from crossing than to catch them, process them, and then send them back, if we can catch them before they reproduce! That act negates everything.

A Federal 'catch and release' program?

Plus his obvious campaign BS! Hillary hit it perfectly, the sky opened and there he was.

And he's fallen flat on his face. What's another billion? I say the chickens came home for their just deserts.

It also might be easier to clean up after a flood if water didn't flow toward the lowest point. Just like many many discussions that occurred over at AK, once you have a system that does things relatively well, the cost of improving over that increases exponentially. We can't expect a leak-proof border, and no one really wants to pay the cost to get close. Better to redirect the flow - i.e. make it more costly for employers to purchase illegal labor than the benefit they get for trying to get around the law.

D-Ray

Yeah, I'll tell you what, if the number of people illegally entering the United States were to plunge by, say, two thirds, then I'm sure people would credit the Obama administration for making huge progress.

Oh, wait.

http://www.boston.com/news/nation/wa...s_entering_us/

"WASHINGTON — The number of illegal immigrants entering the United States has plunged by almost two-thirds in the past decade, a dramatic shift after years of growth in the population, according to a new report by the Pew Hispanic Center."

I'm sure it will do nothing to temper the rhetoric.

Besides what is the alternative, put in any of that lot running for the GOP and I would be tempted to slash my wrists.

I'll go for that. Hell, I'll go for almost anything that slows the flow.

This way seems to be awfully expensive to me. As I replied to Don, I'll go for almost anything.

So, you're in favor of anything that will reduce the number of illegal immigrants, and you recognize the Obama administration ha done exactly that more effectively than any other administration, but you have to complain that his way is too expensive? Kinda sounds like you mean you'll get behind anything so long as Obama doesn't get any credit.

Kinda like the Republicans in Washington will do anything to create jobs... as long as it doesn't require them actually doing anything, especially anything that Obama came up with. And at the same time, they vote time and again, and dig in their heels to eliminate more and more government jobs at the worst possible time. Don't raise taxes durring a recession they tell us. Hey, how 'bout don't kill jobs durring a recession.
