I beg, borrow, & steal leaves, wood chips, & coffee grounds. My wife is making the rounds to all of the Starbucks within 10 miles right this minute.
It's hard to get biomass in the desert.

I'm all for adding trees, etc., and there should be greater emphasis of that part of the equation than there has been. But we need a multi-faceted approach - we need to reduce emissions and consumption too. One success has been that the fleet of American vehicles is becoming more and more fuel efficient.

No we don't. What the EPA is doing will have no affect at all. It's simple science. We are the only country that doesn't get it.

In cities any building going up need to plant and maintain the same footprint of trees and plants. Be it on the roof terraces sidewalk within the same general vicinity.

Yes you do. It is a combination effect. While just reducing GHGs does nothing but prolong the inevitable reducing CO2 is a reversing process. The two combined with reduce and reverse climate change in theory.

No. It's not about reducing carbon. It's about bringing the air/ground carbon balance back. All you need to do is pull carbon out of the air and store it in the ground. The rest is B.S. You could shut down the world, and the imbalance would stay the same. All this crap that man is causing climate change is only true because we are destroying top soil and creating HUGE deserts.
Anything else is Mother Nature.

He touches on reducing emissions, then explains how it's not really as necessary as people think because they are thinking wrong, lol.

My favorite comment has to be about how environmentalists will hate these concepts because there will not be any money in it.

It's such a huge undertaking, I'm not sure it's possible. There will surely be unsuccessful plantings and other issues. Maybe just a pipe dream...

Maryland already started down this road some years back and has achieved significant reductions.

You guys make me think of the mathematician and the engineer. They were both confronted by tha same problem. They were at the far end of a huge banquet hall. At the other end was a gorgeous nude woman on a couch. But they were only allowed to move half the distance each move. The mathematiciam said it is impossible and stood there. The engineer said I will get close enough for all practical purposes and took off running.
