I dunno. Madonna wore a bra in one of her videos that looked very much like a lethal weapon.

LOL! Ugly too imo.

I find the timing of these protests interesting. Getting the left agitated will probably help Obama, even though he kept Bush's financial team, and TARP.

Funny.. I know a lot of supposed "lefties" that are a lot better armed than 5 tea party supporters combined.

Ya see.. saying left or right is useless, because no one falls into either mold. We all take our ideas and morals from both sides.

Some are just smarter than others..

LOL! Seriously, we get by, but not by much.

I'm sure my friends on the left side of this forum would regard me as a walking contradiction:

I have a decent job, just a bit above the average US wage rate, but three kids and a mortgage takes a big bite out of that. Far from "rich", but I resent the government interference in the marketplace, including attempts to set wage rates. That applies equally to "prevailing wage rates" as well as Dodd-Frank and pay czars.

I reject government interference in the delivery of health care. Such interference has already pushed up the cost of medicine for everyone, and I don't believe in an inherent "right" to health care (certainly can't find it in the Bill of Rights, not in any constitutional amendment). Yet, two of my three kids have significant health challenges.

My dad and his dad before him were both staunch Democrats. When my dad got out of the service after WWII, he immediately got in with the union's journeyman program and never looked back. Even served as shop steward for a period of time. But one thing my dad always encouraged with me was to be my own man. He and I didn't agree on our politics, but I never thought of him as anything less than a great man.

I actually went to college a liberal, voted for Jimmy Carter when I first got the opportunity to vote. Once I got out of college, I came out not being able to stomach liberal thought and voted for Reagan in his 2nd term.

Go figure.

You figure the pay scale would be were it is at left to the business owners? The unions worked hard over many years to get the benefits and pay most people enjoy today. Slowly as the unions have lost their power in negotiations so now the benefits and pay are slipping away.

On healthcare, Someone who is without insurance and no assets is able to get free care. Which I have no problem with BTW, then it looks like a right to me and should be fair for everyone. I am firm believer in a single payer non-profit healthcare system for all. Let the insurance companies cover any gaps in coverage if need be.

There are more things in Heaven and earth Horatio than are written in your Constitution or Bill of Rights. Everyone else seems to be able to do it just fine, guess we 'murricans are just not bright enough.

For example, public education, infrastructure construction. Maybe the entire nation should have only only private schools and toll roads/bridges.
