He may well be seeing a chance to be in charge of the narrative for a vast portion of the planet. Controlling the flow of content. Hiding blocking opposing counter contents and amplifying his agendas....

I set up an account years ago but rarely use it. I mean, maybe 30 posts in that time. In fact I forgot I had it until someone directed me to a tweet a few years ago and when I clicked on it, I was still "logged in" from the last time I used it.

But I think a lot of folks that don't like this are in heavy projection mode. That is, the site is infamous for cancelling people who don't follow a particular narrative, and now they have the unmitigated gall to say that is what HE is going to do. The humor is not lost on me. I note this stupidity happened in Feb 2019. The mayor was unfortunately even then suffering from dementia, it seems. But his colleagues covered up for him. He finally quit beginning of this year.
