I've been hitting a couple of thrifts maybe every other week, and have seen very little. The best I have seen is a small set of BIC Venturi that I passed on.

Regards,

D-Ray

Just purchased this one for 59 euros. 1969 Sharp MPX-37.

The tiniest receiver I have ever seen. Two WPC! I will put it on my Kenwood Eleven G and take a picture when I received it...

The complete set - receiver and the speakers - is extremely rare.

From the local Second Hand store:

Bonsai-Akustik "Ideal" top quality bookshelf speakers with two bass woofers each, orignal price 1200 Deutsche Mark, which is 600 euros. I payed 50 euros for them. Outstanding sound.

The little brand Bonsai-Akustik does not exist anymore. They offered finest quality for an acceptable price. But there is only a market for High End and Crap End and no market in between...

It looks like they have a built-in Bierdeckel.

I thought I had found those really expensive things that go on top of those really expensive Polk speakers. Alas they are just Polk Monitor M5 satellite speakers for the outdoors. NOT A SCORE.

I'm standing in the Goodwill and I have this Pioneer VSK
X-519V in my cart...7 bucks. It's HDMI which I haven't seen before in any of the home theater rigs at the GW.

I'd be using it with my Infinity Composition Prelude PF-R's that you can drive with a singlenended triode so I'm not concerned with power output at all. I'm getting it.

I've nevwr run 5 channel before. Wadda ya think?
