You're still off the subject but what the hell! Here goes!

Are you old enough to have been active in the anti-war movement in the '60s and '70s? If so, were you active? If not, then I submit that you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

I am old enough and I was involved. I can tell you that the talk of violence was almost entirely the work of agents provocateur working for local, state and federal law enforcement under COINTELPRO. Most of the violent acts perpetrated by anti-war groups were inspired by and in some cases perpetrated by these agents.

How many of those listed were convicted? Hell, that list even includes Ted Nugent.

What makes you think I'm only referring to left violence?

Don't you know? I was hoping you'd read it.

Yes, but, as the entry says, he was simply interviewed and no further action was taken. In the other cases a criminal investigation was undertaken and in some of them the suspects were held in custody.

Which brings me to why were the threats against Bush as demonstrated by media photos and newscasts of protesters never investigated. I think it would be reasonable that there were so many that following up on each and every threat would be a waste of time.

Wow Bh that's all doublespeak. To organize means to bring together, in every dictionary that I have read. You're carrying cynicism to a new level in this.
Oh, I get it now - you mean driving a wedge between labor and corporations /government?

According to Alinsky, the organizer — especially a paid organizer from outside — must first overcome suspicion and establish credibility. Next the organizer must begin the task of agitating: rubbing resentments, fanning hostilities, and searching out controversy. This is necessary to get people to participate. An organizer has to attack apathy and disturb the prevailing patterns of complacent community life where people have simply come to accept a situation. Alinsky would say, "The first step in community organization is community disorganization."
I grabbed this from his wikipedia entry. His last book is an excellent read and highly recommended.

Here's a quick synopsis:

I thought it was available online but I couldn't find it.
