A judge of that caliber is professional enough to set aside any personal feelings he might have when doing his job.
People in all kinds of professions do the same.
Aside from that..... Who knows, maybe this judge likes Trump as a candidate and is planning to vote for him. Just because he has Mexican parents doesn't mean he can't support Trump.
One thing I've learned in life is that people who think that other people make decisions based on race think as they do because it's what they do themselves. And the people who do this are racists.
So, wait. The folks who say that Trump made a decision to build a wall because he's a racist are folks who want to build a wall because THEY are the racists?
When did Mexican become a race anyway. I thought it was a country. I suppose if you are slowly being invaded and there is no logical way to defend it then you need to call racism.

Apparently John believes that this is an example of a racist:
Racist is quite likely the most overused word in the language. As far as the judge, I have no idea whether he is anti Trump over the anti illegal immigration stance or not. But, if anybody thinks that judges don't make decisions based on politics and race every day they must be in the twilight zone somewhere.
Awesome is our most overused word by an awe inspiring margin.

I don't need a link to tell me what to think. Trump is against illegal immigration and wants to build a wall on the Mexican border. The judge is of Mexican heritage. I suspect it is impossible for him to not have that in the back of his mind.
We have SCOTUS divided on almost every issue that comes up. Somehow thinking that there is some cut and dried correct judgment for every legal matter is ridiculous.
You mean you don't need evidence. You can judge the matter in front of the evidence. You can pre-judge.
