The Fed's unwillingness to use its tools is a sign of the time. The well-connected have become accustomed to easy money. This guy Powell is a joker; he has been playing. That is why we need a Volcker.

Just saw on Youtube the Budget Committee Hearing which was chaired by Senator Sanders.

It revealed the enormous pricing power of very profitable corporations. Such a state of affair is made easy by the lack of competition due to the ever increasing monopolistic, olegarchic character of the US economy.

Chairman Powell left .75 in his toolbox, but .5 is not gonna work. Inflation is entrenched.
