I don't think he ever did that, but I could be wrong.
Someone tried to assassinate him, pulled two pistols and both of them misfired, after which Jackson ran down the stairs and beat his ass with his cane.
Or something like that.

Wasn't that the proverbial "disgruntled office seeker"?

I want to just reach into this liberal setting and yank this guy out by his tie and give him a "real world" lesson in what it's like to be unemployed during a corporate greed created economic depression.
Stupid mother fucker looks like he does not even carry a gun, I'd chump him in a Jersey second.

I saw that same idiot, scholarly economist my arse. I watch all the talking heads going on about how companies are afraid to hire new people because they are not certain the recession is over - what a load of crap. They are not afraid to work their current employees overtime to increase production, so the demand must be there. No, they are sitting on $1.84 trillion in cold cash and they will keep sitting on it until after November.

What really struck me was how the guy was obviously agenda driven yet was allowed to make his case and left at that.
Yet these teabags complain that it is biased because it does not actively take a radical right wing slant.
Why folks want to be told what they think in juvenile ways (beck and the gang) I'll never understand. Maybe it's the same reason they want to carry guns?

People with strong convictions are often confused for wise men.

Hey, Andy was a 'man of the people', when he wasn't handing off land grants to his buddies
PBS overall is very liberal.

Right. They ran Bill Moyers off because he was too right wing.
To the extent that was ever true it's been seriously eroded by Reagan and the two Bushes stacking the CPB Board with Conservative hatchet men. Plus, ever since the Gingrich Congress slashed the funding for CPB there has been a crippling increase in the number of corporate underwriters who become less than happy when PBS runs stories critical of them.
Check this out.

I saw that documentary, it certainly did not come off as supportive of our profit based system.
Let's see, Smiley, Effil as the anchor of the Newshour, Rose (who I still like anyway), have you seen 'Need to Know'?? Sheesh.
