Picked up a few CDs at Goodwill yesterday. I was a huge fan of the Boss in my college years and for several years after that. Then I sort of fell away. I picked up a couple from the era when I wasn't listening: Devils and Dust and Magic. Devils and Dust reminds me of why I became a Stringsteen fan in the first place. Magic is coming up next.

I saw him on that tour in Anaheim.

My favorite song on Magic is Magic. Pretty haunting.

My goal is to buy all 36 or 39 of these collections on cd.
Currently listening to Vol. 5 with Vol.6 on its way via the US mail.

I am listening to this set remastered by Jimmy Page.
Have not heard Stairway to Heaven for ages and really enjoyed it.
Also I now have Hales Revelation III's that are superb for rock music.

The Boss put on the best concert I ever saw. It was in Oklahoma City, Winter 78-79, in support of the LP, Darkness on the Edge of Town. No warm up act -Springsteen and E-Street Band played for three and a half hours. Sixth row, Center.

Buying the tickets was pretty fun too. There was a ticket office on campus. I ran a snack bar in the same building. We camped out in the building for tickets. For some reason, people were getting the munchies, so I opened the snack bar every hour or so. Good times.

I found a Decca UK pressing of this album a few days ago at Savers.
Very quiet. Sounds awesome on my Jolida tube amp being driven by
my thrift store Radio Shack phono amp/thrift store Technics table/ thrift store Klipsch RB-15s/thrift store Ortofon black cart and stylus.
