We live in the country with the most moronic attitude about guns, than certainly any other 1st world nation.

IMHO, the primary reason is the stupefying attitude that Amercans have about their so-called "rights and freedoms." Which, according to Republican politicians, Republican voters, and modern-day conservative American assholes, in addition to gun rights, includes their habitual hypocrisy regarding the "my body my choice" right, which according to these assholes applies to American anti-vaxxers, but not to pregnant American women.

How a reasonable culture deals with this sort of thing...(from Pio's link)

Quote:
Serbia's Interior Ministry warned gun owners on Thursday to keep their weapons empty and locked in gun cabinets or safes.

The warning comes a day after a 13-year-old boy opened fire on his classmates, killing eight children and a security guard at a primary school in the capital Belgrade. A teacher and six pupils were also wounded.

"The Interior Ministry is appealing to all gun owners to store their guns with care, locked up in safes or closets so they are out of reach of others, particularly children," it said in a statement.

Police will do spot checks at registered gun owners' homes to ensure they keep weapons safe and those who are found to be negligent could be charged.

It is part of a host of gun control measures announced by President Aleksandar Vucic hours after Wednesday's shooting.

He also announced a moratorium on new gun licenses other than for hunting and said there would be a revision of existing permits and enhanced surveillance of shooting ranges.
So far...no fucking squawking from Serbian gun owners about their "rights and freedoms." Also, no squawking from British hunters about British "rights and freedoms" to own war weapons after all firearms outside of long barreled hunting rifles and shotguns were banned within a year after the Dunblane School Massacre in 1996.

American gun owners be they Republicans or Democrats, conservatives or liberals, can stuff their goddamn "rights and freedoms" to their fucking guns up their collective ass.

Agreed. Even after the verdict, Thune the prop for Mitch alluded to Trump's electability, not the conviction.

Al Franken Anthony Weiner need to run for office again. What they quit over is tame compared to what the GOP condones.

Weiner is an idiot. Franken was set up. Leeann Tweeden made her money for years baring her big American rack at every opportunity. Franken never laid a hand on her and in fact was acting out a possible routine that could have been part of their USO show.

But anyway...you are absolutely right...and we haven't even mentioned pre-adolescent girl sex trafficker Matt Gaetz.

Electability, that's what it's all about. Party Before Country  It's the Republican way.

"Electability" isn't really the appropriate term, viability as a nominee with the magamob is more accurate. He still looks like an unfit unqualified grifter to the undecided, I'm hoping for the 'pub ticket to look like a circular firing squad of radical fringe freaks looking to poach Magamorons from his cult.
