Of course we do. However in an absolute world the right thing to do would be to give it back - or not?

Whoever it was, he/she is a friend of the deer, so that makes him/her a friend of mine. Fat-ass is a real tough guy without a gun in his hands, eh?

But y'know...it's like we say in the corps, payback is a motherfucker. It appears he was interviewed later, so the deer didn't kill him which makes it only marginal payback. More consideration that the deer typically get.

This attitude really bewilders me. Its just our version of Thompson's gazelle. Perhaps if us humans weren't such a plague there might be more forests around for the white tails to not be such a pain I'm the ass.

Anyway its so nice to see a little payback.

I'm sympathetic to wildlife but we've got deer issues here in Ohio:

Research has shown that deer begin to adversely affect their natural surroundings at 10-20 deer per square mile. Today densities in CVNP are estimated at as many as 130 deer per square mile.
