Check the link in my previous thread. The writing itself is sarcastic. He belongs to a group called Pod Save America who is an anti-GOP-Trumpcare movement. So yes, I am pretty sure.

CBO report shows this version of the healthcare bill is just as horrific as the previous republican version. Huge rate increases for the elderly. No guarantees for those with pre-existing conditions. A brutal, hateful bill, which will hopefully wake people up to the nastiness of today's republicans.

With premiums going up 850% for the poor elderly, a key element of his base.

That's sure to prove attractive to AARP.

I thought the Obamacare penalties for not carrying insurance was tough. Drop coverage under trumpcare, even for a month or two and you can see a premium penalty of 30% or more, or several thousand dollars. This on top of big increases for those older folks among us.

Now tell me honestly, with 50% of households in the US making less than 50 grand a year, how the fuck will they afford $25,000 yearly premiums?

The 1% draining the wealth off this nation to the top. Fucked if you do, fucked if you don't.

"This week Axios reported that the emerging Senate bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will allow states to waive coverage of essential health benefits for small employer and individually purchased plans. In waiver states, this cut in benefits would be catastrophic for people who are sick or have a pre-existing condition and need prescription drugs, treatment for opioid addiction, or other services that could be excluded.
But the waivers would have a much broader impact, affecting millions of workers with employer coverage in every state—even nonwaiver states. As The Wall Street Journal reported, the waivers of essential health benefits would also eviscerate important financial protections that apply to large employer plans." CAP

No wonder McConnell doesn't want anyone to see or debate this shitty move.

The only thing that matters is giving the 1%ers at least 85 billion dollars from the health care budget, all else is secondary.

Secrecy Surrounding Senate Health Bill Raises Alarms in Both Parties

“I’ve said from Day 1, and I’ll say it again,” said Senator Bob Corker, Republican of Tennessee. “The process is better if you do it in public, and that people get buy-in along the way and understand what’s going on. Obviously, that’s not the route that is being taken.”

“They’re ashamed of the bill,” the Senate minority leader, Chuck Schumer of New York, said. “If they liked the bill, they’d have brass bands marching down the middle of small-town America saying what a great bill it is. But they know it isn’t.”
