While the US is consumed with Russia, China has undertaken a bold move to significantly extend its soft power globally--the One Belt One Road project.

Obama understood the implication of Chinese trends, (Asian Bank included) but his counter, the TTP, was exposed as too toxic.


China is building it way to an empire.

Like I and others have stated many times before China Russia and most first world countries are planning for the next fifty, hundred years. But here in the good old US of A were are on at best a two year plan it appears.

Additionally Belt/Road eases China's export of industrial excess and allows her to sharpen her engineering skill which has been enhanced by the massive transfer of science and technology from the west.

You mean all the stuff they reverse engineered? You see I taught some of their software engineers before I retire and man they wanted everything handed to them on a plate. Plus their track record for industrial espionage is huge.

The performance of a giant like Huawei has indicated that they have gone beyond reverse engineering.

For a company that was just founded in 1987 to effectively compete with Ericsson is unbelievable.

Sure they stole all of Nortel's technology - and put Nortel in bankruptcy in the process. TI was foolish enough to do business over there.
