We're going to stop Putin right there in the Ukraine.

Even the IDF (Israel) elite commandos are in there.

The delay is an unnecessary harvest of human souls (IMHO).

I doubt very seriously that this is true. Israel has been quite ambivalent about the war in Ukraine.

Elliot Cohen, writing in The Atlantic, (soft paywall) says the Ukraiians are not just defending well, but winning!

His conclusion: "As for the endgame, it should be driven by an understanding that Putin is a very bad man indeed, but not a shy one. When he wants an off-ramp, he will let us know. Until then, the way to end the war with the minimum of human suffering is to pile on."

The 'former' IDF guys do appear to fighting as a unit, rather than dispersed volunteers.

But then again, it's difficult to say how accurate this information is.
