Micheal Jackson, Sarah Palin, is there a difference?

I was listening to the radio this morning and heard a DJ go on and on about what a great man Micheal Jackson was. It struck me as bizarre that a drug addicted mentally disturbed man would be held in such high esteem by such a large % of Americans.

Then I thought that this same thing is happening with the lovely Sarah Palin.
Here is an obvious dolt being rallied around like she is the Messiah.

It just struck me how fragile we as a species are.
If you take the % of Americans who think highly of Jackson and the % of Americans who think highly of Sarah it's really scary.

Right, and a billion people around the world adored the baby dangling LLama hugger.

Like Nixon making Elvis his "Drug Czar". Elvis looks stoned in the photo-op.
One of those things that makes you go, WTF?

T'was ever thus, look at how all the gunslingers and the Wild West was/is idealized when in fact the gunslingers were simply teen aged killers and the sweet dance hall girls were naught but a bunch of hos.

Nothing wrong here that another coat of whitewash won't fix.
