Discord at the Tea Party?

It would appear that there is trouble in paradise for the Tea Partiers.
My favorite statement is from the gentleman who said, "This is not about the Republican Party, it's about We the People." You know, I have no doubt he is sincere. And it makes me a bit sad for him because I think he is incredibly naive. I believe one of the biggest reasons the "Tea Party" still exists is because of the support from the Republican Party and it's shills at FauxNews and EIB. If it comes to the point that the GOP starts getting crap from the TPN, support for the TPN will evaporate like water in a 1,500 degree oven.

No more Palin, no more Hannity, no more Beck....Nada, zip, zero.

Reading through the article it's apparent that some of them realize this.

Also interesting to note, is that among the complaints from the dissident group are the $550 admission fee, the lavish trappings, the ties to the GOP----and the appearance of Sarah Palin. What were they expecting? The GOP is trying to claim this movement. And if people like Mr. Shreeve don't let them, the movement dies.

It's sad. Naive and sad.

Dave

We were on battery radio most of the day yesterday and WTOP being mostly a news station had some choice quotes from the party. Wish I had written them down but I was to busy trying to stay warm.

Yeah, mostly from Palin and Tancredo. Palin called for a "revolution" and Tancredo suggested a "literacy test" for voters who obviously didn't know they were voting for a "socialist ideologue" in '08. There are videos on YouTube, and the TPN website. You can still watch it.

I think the fact that we now know the TPN is a "For Profit" corporation, and apparently an elitist one that shuns the "riff raff" and hides from the media speaks volumes about where that movement is headed already.

But, how much do you want to bet, if they form a party and offer up candidates this year or in '12 that people will turn out in droves to vote for them?----Thinking they're getting something better.
On second thought-----I hope they do. Might do them some good, but not the kind of good they imagine.

Regards,
Dave

Bachmann and Blackburn canceled their appearances when they figured out the whole convention was a scam. They're smarter than Palin. If the Tea Party Nation collapses like the house of cards it is, it'll be around Miss Sarah Belle's ears.

Boss Limbaugh has already put the kibosh on that one. No third party! Teabaggers have to hang with the Repubs.

And yet I still know people who don't see what's going on.

Palin is a dumbass. She would have been more in her element outside, waving around an Obama/Hitler picket and screaming "Obama is a racist!".

Limbaugh is an intelligent, highly compensated propagandist. He has been very successful at selling a "Bill of goods" to the Amercan people. He knows that a radical third party in the right wing could upset the landscape of power in favor of the Democrats. So he will defend the hand that feeds his fat ass until the day he dies.

You know, even though I have ridiculed and lampooned them many times, it still makes me sad to see so many well meaning people throw their hearts and their energy into something like this, thinking it's a true populist movement and it's going to be so much better.------------Only to discover that it's just the same old shit in the end.

This is America. The economic and social elite have bought out the two major parties. Create another party and they will move quickly to do the same thing to that party. "Oh, but these folks are such nice, Christian, God-fearing Americans, just like George Washington."

Yeah, Right. I think it's more like--"Money talks, bullshit walks.".

That's how it is.

Sad, truly Sad.

Dave
