You will love this movie.............
plus there are many black and white movies from the 1950s and 60s about the samurais that are equally riveting. You cannot beat Japanese cinema

I watch local news, but it too is heavily slanted to the left, even in this very red state.

Dude, that is one thing we can agree on - as long as he's not talking to a chair.

Have you ever considered it could be you that has changed? To be honest I tend to view TV as glorifying & fostering the obsession with 'Dirty Laundry' and selling soap. Get yourself a DVR, bro.

I am currently watching the Great Performances adaptation of Evelyn Waugh's Brideshead Revisted,
which I caught a few episodes of back in 1981. However watching it in my advanced middle age (50) I think you can identify more with the main character Charles Ryder since he is remembering his youth in the 1920s from the vantage point the 1940s.

I love these period pieces.

One thing is certain college students have always drank in excess no matter when or where one attended.

I've been searching for Catch-22, not on VOD or in the local video store. So, I found a DVD copy of it at Amazon. Should be here tomorrow or Tuesday. Can't wait, haven't seeen it in years.

And, most likely had wild meaningless sex too. Although, the "Good ol' Days" whacknuts would have us believe no one ever sinned prior to the 1960s.....................................:rolleye s:
