Depends on the speaker, if it were going to drive let's say a modern B&W the impedence curve even on 4 ohm tap goes to near 0. The autoformer corrects and maintains the impedance throughout. Any Klipsch or JBL would not matter at all. IIRC old low efficency Dahlquist have weird impedance curves as well.
I have a 4100 receiver which has either the 752 or 4 amp and it is sweetie.

The only B&W I have is a small bookshelf most of my speakers are 90DB like Klipsch and Kefs. I think the 754 types are not as popular but from what I have read they seem to be really reliable...and a bit younger because they are from the early 80s.

I found these Infinity QB-1s with a ribbon tweeter..........they are awesome.
I will getting rid of some speakers soon.

Indiana huh? It couldn't be all bad, Petty's from there right?

D, both stadiums are really nice but I suspect Jacobs' Field (or whatever credit card it's named after nowadays) is in the top 5. Come'on up and find out

You're probably thinking about John Mellencamp.

Can I expect you now to retract your retraction?
