The Teabagger shutdown? The one that...

Cost $24,000,000,000 loss to the economy.
Cost $100,000,000 in interest on public debt.

Hardly something to make light of, Jim. The biggest threat to your teabagger heroes is now coming from the right side of the aisle. The Chamber of Commerce and their deep pockets are now arrayed against any and all 'baggers in the House and Senate who supported the shutdown. See ya.

The health care fiasco has overshadowed the shutdown. It was a large gift to the right.

100 million in additional interest?

Only if you've been listening to the rightwing echo chamber's overblown hyperventilating rhetoric, my friend.

Mountains out of molehills. Whut fiasco?

I sure hear a lot about it on NPR and PBS

Last night was a segment on Newshour about a lady who had a decent plan, not junk, but because it didn't have maternity and podiatry coverage was nixed. She's 58... and a two time Obama voter. Her plan is going up at least 5k a year.

Pooch = screwed.

Once again, Pete. What's the Repubs alternative? Go back to the way it was before when personal bankruptcies were driven by medical costs from shitty policies that had lifetime caps and pre existing conditions?

Mebbe Obama should have called this thing Romneycare from the gitgo?

I don't think that's correct. According to Kaiser Family Foundation, there's about 14 MM who buy individual (non-group) medical plans. The number who have received cancellation notices for non-compliant policies are based currently on estimates from news reports, but not any "official statistics." Kaiser suggests the numbers could be much higher once the actual numbers are known.

Those numbers also don't include the cancellations that will occur in the group health market for plans that are not grandfathered, or plans that may lose their grandfather status at some future date / renewal.

Or Clinton. It already looks like the Clintons have begun to position Hillary as an opponent to the Obama's version of health care reform - challenging the administration to keep its promises regarding "if you like your current plan you can keep it."
