Absolutely. I ridicule incoherent babble of all types.
I think the GOP put Eastwood up there because they were desperate to show that they enjoyed some support with the icons of American popular culture so they could say "cool people like Republicans too." It seems to have backfired. Look at who they put out there as a musical headliner - The Oak Ridge Boys.

Yes, the could have have had foul mouthed Ted do "Cat Scratch Fever" with the good Pastor Huckabee again. Maybe the two of them could have screamed "Fuck Obama!!!" at 130 decibels? You know, I have Republican friends who still don't see the humor in that? "You see it's a song about how he had sex and caught VD when he was TEN.......The good pastor was singing along.......The GOP is supposed to be all churchy and family oriente......Oh, nevermind."
Ted could take a dump in his pants for an encore, just like he did for the draft board. That would have been the cherry on top.

Good post. I remember a Rolling Stones magazine article from when I was about 18. They were interviewing Ted right before he kicked off a tour of Asian countries. That was back when he had that incredible wall of Marshals and he said "I'm gonna play so fuckin loud it'll straighten their eyes out".

Maybe they could have done it naked and having gay sex in front of a kindergarten class? I mean, while we're pumping out the irony and demonstrating just how full of shyte we are, what the hell, why not?...........

How did we go from Clint Eastwood to Rap? Granted there was a mention of Ted Nugent - who is a musician, but definitely not a rapper, but who is certainly a loud-mouthed proponent of the type of right wing ideology on display at the RNC.
Then again, the RNC did provide a fine example of country music at its most mawkish.
Regards,
D-Ray
