Well that's his signature isn't it...that dirty tone?
And yes, Doyle Bramhall II on rhythm, and playing rhythm for Clapton, and for Robert Randolph, and others. He's a musician's musician y'know?
A very cool DVD set is the "Sessions for Robert J", where Clapton turns over a whole bunch of the lead responsibility to Bramall, and it's really great. And it's one of the last live video records of Billy Preston.
