You mean we are supposed to be in awe of some half-assed Brit tabloid? The only decent paper they have is the Economist.

This guy does bear a certain resemblance to Tim Geitner.

Yep, two articles from a British blog, and it's, "SEE, SEE! All of Europe thinks he's a dumbass, too!"
You know, I'm not real happy with the guy these days either. But, sometimes I almost feel compelled to defend him, much in the way one might rescue a geek from the playground bullies. Yeah, he's a geek, but sometimes it just gets ridiculous.

OK, true confession now Dave. Did you protect the other kids on the playground from the bullies? I wouldn't be surprised.

Being short, bucktoothed* and prematurely balding, I was often the target of bullies myself.
There was a kid in my neighborhood who is autistic. The other kids picked on him mercilessly. And, yes, I got into lots of fights protecting him. The kid couldn't defend hmself. When I saw someone hit him, I would fly into a rage and go after them.
I saw him a couple years ago, still living with his mother. He saw me and got all excited. Gave me a bear hug, in front of a bunch of people in the grocery store, jumping up and down, yelling, "DAVE! DAVE! DAVE!"---It was actually kind of embarrassing. Carolyn, his mother, told me, "You know you're still his hero, don't you?"
(Carolyn is the daughter of Tili Darak, the holocaust survivor I've mentioned.)
(*My parents "helped" by getting braces put on me. Of course this only meant I went from "Bucky" to "Metalmouth" and the harrassment got worse.)

Have you guys seen the papers over there? The Europeans hate Obama's guts. I guess he really has pissed off the whole wide world now.
So much for the great "Great Uniter?"

That is quite admirable of you to defend him. That's a touching story. I was picked on up to HS before I realized my reach was longer and I hit harder than most of the bullies. After that, all those assholes wanted to be friends.
