Yep, and the fact that even those of us who are working full time still can't afford the goddam things at current prices. Prices need to drop significantly.

Canada does not have a mortgage interest deduction yet home ownership there is marginally higher than here. Of course they also do not tax capital gains on the sale of your main or vacation homes.

Wages won't drop but a few jobs might because of efficiency and the increased capacity resulting from such.
For once in their pathetic bitchy little lives, they would have to keep up with the modern manufacturing sector.
