Rushkoff's take was interesting. I think since he's a media wonk, he placed the OWS as fundamentally different from past movements; however, I don't think that is necessarily the case. Sure technology has made coordination and information dissemination more easily achievable than in the past, but that doesn't mean that the underlying message is different, better, or broader than the old malcontent demonstrations. We need a couple more months to see if the OWS movement can gain, or even keep traction.
