Since you seemed to miss out on the news, about 70 billion a year, three and a half, maybe four times what is spent on pork barrel earmarks.

Reuters:

The annual survey by Citizens Against Government Waste claims that 11,610 special-interest projects were stuffed into spending bills approved by the Democratic-led Congress last year at a $17.2 billion cost to taxpayers.

But according to the survey, it was individual Republicans who pushed the most "pork" last year. In addition, the three House of Representative Republicans who sponsored legislation calling for a moratorium on such spending all engaged in the practice, the report said. They are Jack Kingston of Georgia, Zach Wamp of Tennessee and Frank Wolf of Virginia.

Of course that earmark/pork barrell fixes roads and schools and the riff raff fixing those things squander the money on better food, replacing bald tires, rusted out mufflers, shoes and school supplies for the kids. Shameful waste of money I tell you.

No, it doesn't. The money just evaporates. You didn't know that?

Besides, poor people don't create demand. It's billionaires that buy all of the toilet paper and tampons. (I guess they have terrible "seepage" issues.)

Sent to projects where GOP senators and congresscritters could hold up the big check for a photo op.
