Trump's "Charitable" Foundation

George Conway, the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, said allegations that the Donald J. Trump Foundation may have violated campaign finance laws should be referred to the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan.

He was responding to a New York Times piece in which experts said it was likely that the Trump Foundation and President Trump's campaign violated federal campaign finance laws.

“These are obviously very serious allegations, and they should be referred to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York,” George Conway tweeted Sunday morning...

The New York attorney general’s office filed a lawsuit against the president and his foundation last week, alleging that Trump and his charity violated federal and state laws.

The lawsuit includes allegations that the Trump campaign directed how donations held by the Trump Foundation should be distributed, and that the charity made an unreported $2.8 million in-kind donation to the campaign.

A former attorney to the chief counsel of the IRS who specialized in nonprofit organizations is urging the agency to open an investigation into the Trump Foundation, President Trump's personal charitable foundation.

In an op-ed for The New York Times, Philip Hackney argued that Trump could be prosecuted for evading taxes on some of his "self-dealing" payments, as well as for making false statements on tax filings.

Trump is "criminally liable for his actions," Hackney wrote.

Donald Trump would use his charity for nefarious financial gain? No Way!

We are talking about the man who ran Trump University.

Obviously more lies from the Deep State.

That whole stunt with the Wounded Warriors Project...………

I was hated for asking; Why in the hell would anyone give money to Trump so he could re-donate it, when they can always donate to WWP directly?

Could it be I have my answer? Probably. Self funded campaign my ass.
