Well, the source of any rule in this game, as far as we got used to use it - - is the very first post of the YGTLW game on AK, posted by Rome. But here on PC, we can dismiss this rule, as far as we consider monsters like YCDTOSA as a word. All I'm trying to do is to support Bob a bit in moderating the game. Poison is that I can't see the difference between an abbreviation and an acronym, so what is for instance YCDTOSA?

The thing about an acronym is that it represents a string of words, just like YGTLW does. I can see a rule against using one (or maybe just using the last letter or the "word" the last letter stands for or...........?). Abbreviations, like CA, stand for just one word so it doesn't really compromise the point of the game to use one.

For instance, "CA is the most populous state in the United States, having a larger population than many entire countries.
