Dubious. In WWII think we mainly sent Stalin military stuff. Lots of trucks, they relied on US trucks and concentrated on making tanks. Kept people in Red Army alive with supplies on trucks. For most of the war, it was Nazis starving the people in the Ukraine.

Before the war, I don't think we sent Stalin anything. That's when Stalin was starving the Ukraine.

None of which compares to the little hobby projects that have Dondillion exercised now.

I have not a clue what you are talking about. The present foreign aid is extremely wasteful. It is a method to bleed the country under the guise of doing something good; it is sophisticated money laundering.

A desperate Trump has blown this wide open and brought home clearly to the man in the street the bipartisan nature of the profligacy and corruption.

It appears Trump's juxtaposition is effective.
