Even if it didn't land at all what has already been done is nothing short of a miracle. I hope that their efforts to extend it work, and that whatever info it can send back help our understanding.

Philae has passed away. He died of starvation. Not actually. But it is in a "Sleep modus", according to dpa. Lets hope that the energy supply will be re-established.

There is some hope that when they get closer to the sun Philae will get enough light to bring its battery up and it can transmit the data that is still in its memory.
