Thanks much, Pete. That is a great site. I found replacements for the side mirrors (old ones won't adjust); door weather stripping (bad wind noise); dashboard carpet, signal lamp cover, service manual, etc. Wouldn't take a long time to match what I paid for the car in parts to restore it. Got two quotes for the vinyl roof replacement - one for $1000 and another for $375. Hmmm.
Thanks again for all of the resources you have linked. It's getting tempting to not send it to Lawrence, but I have two years worth of stereos and speakers to fix, so taking on a restoration project would simply be another manifestation of ADD.
Regards,
D-Ray

The index tree for the parts catalog is very easy to use.

$1000 is waaaaaay high. My padded half roof with a very difficult three piece band is $700. Did you see any of the $375 guys' work?
I don't blame you re: renovation, I was thinking needed stuff. Let your boys do it But if in good running trim it shouldn't ned much.
I'll be going on a junkyard run in a week or two looking for some trim pieces. Would you like me to look for anything?
Pete
PS the closeout link just lists all closeouts.

Got anything for '91 Pontiac 6000 wagon? My weather stripping is shot.
Thanks,

Before we moved to the country, the Camaro needed a new vinyl top. Heck, we just had them take the thing off, took the whole car down to the metal and gave it a dark cherry metallic paint job, all new rubber around the doors & all glass seals, and as a bonus they even rebuilt the door hinges, removed the hood & fenders too so the paint would be the same color inside the doors and hood rather than just having new paint on the outer shell. Total cost for everything they done; $1400.00
Of couse though, it didn't have any rust spots inside or out, so they had a an easy job. The sun was shinging so bright off it, I couldn't get a good picture after we got it back from the shop.
Before.
After.

Hey Pete, you haven't seen this 1975 Nova driving around by chance have you?
It was mine. It had a 250 inline six in it when I bought it, no power steering, no power brakes either .. just a plain Nova with a 250 six and three on the tree. I pulled the manual three speed out and installed a muncie four in it .. along with a 427 and 373 poss. Oh, the odd looking stripes were for my little girl, better than pink poka dots
I kicked ass with it a few years and sold it to a guy up in Ohio just before we moved four miles out of town here.
