Lot's of one per centers down there I suppose, and they need something to spend all that cash that they are raking in on.

I have never owned a 2002 or 2002Tii - I have been nosing around, but so far nothing worth shelling out $ for. Seems hard to find them with minimal rust issues, even down here in the sunny south.

The 2002 was such a hit with some of the folks at Micro - Acoustics in the mid 1970s that they named a cartridge line after it, no kidding.

Actually prob. fairly accurate, although it is "transplant money" - lots of people from the northeast moving here.
There is some "old money" here (gold bars in bunkers), but hardly anyone accepts confederate currency any more.

I know squat about them - the designs are good, and I imagine they will go - just wonder why they started popping up here in large #s.

I was in South Beach for a few days in March and Maserati's were the most frequently seen exotic car there among droves of Lamborghini's and Ferrari's.

I understand the attraction, but as I get older I fail to see the point of having basically an almost Formula 1 capable engine in a country with our speed limits.
The Autobahn or Autostrada, I can see it.

I agree. I had a Porsche 924 Turbo and then a Porsche 911 SC when I lived in Germany. I sold them and bought an Audi Coupe GT to bring back to the states. Since then, I've been fairly utilitarian when it comes to cars. My current car is a new Mazda 6, a great car for the money.

The Nurburgring - the only "I have to do it someday" auto related item on my list.
