Just dipped a toe into the Boston Herald, where feature writer Howie Carr contributes column after column laced with stuff like this:

Quote:
"C’mon down, Brian Deese, director of Dementia Joe Biden’s National Economic Council. Last week, Deese was asked on CNN how long the American people would have to cope with outrageously high gas prices in the wake of a war in eastern Europe that nobody cares about."
This is the sort of analysis that informs conservative opinion these days?

To be fair, Howie skewers both the right and the left equally, he pretty much hates all politicians for being, , , well, politicians

Sadly, The Federalist is where they go these days, right up there with the NRA's horrific propaganda site. Pure fascism, yet all the recent SCOTUS appointees came up through the Federalist ranks.

If we took all the money out of politics and made it less lucrative than it is now we'd have very few of todays office holders willing to do the job. That IMO would probably be a good thing. Oh we could give the officeholders room & board plus living expenses but perhaps get rid of the ones who's job #1 is to get reelected.

The angry Left...
Just what constitutes the "Angry Left"? Where's the line between the "Angry Left" the "Pissed Off Left" and the "Merely Annoyed" Left or do they all come under the same heading of the "Angry Left"?

In case anyone has forgotten who started down this road.

Yes, some could argue that this is as benign as bulleted text, but then again cross hairs are associated with guns and violence.

The angry, dumbass, idiotic far Reich MAGAMorons, a few of which post here, sadly.
The name-calling as opposed to the discussion technique is used when someone has nothing of value to add to a discussion....and is used by a few who post here, sadly.

Whataboutism.

Sure I have. But as your post demonstrates, folks here are far more interested in focusing on "threats and killings by the right", and mentioning such behavior when it occurs "by the left" is not terribly welcome.

The "countless African Americans killed by the police at the slightest fucking provocation" are discussed here in detail. Yet, the increase in police fatalities in the line of duty is way up, and not discussed much at all.

Hell, the ongoing increase in gun violence not directed at cops, and not directed randomly or in "mass-shootings", is so out of control is some cities - the cities these officers work in - that the city is calling in the Feds to help with enforcement.

"As of today, we’ve had 320 people shot in the city. Last year on June 6, we had more than 420," (Detroit Mayor) Duggan said. "We had more than 100 of our residents murdered this year. When you can have an 11-year-old girl in a home with a grandmother and five other children ... dancing joyously in the house and have a bullet come through and kill you, it hits very hard. It hits me personally, it hits the chief personally."

"Grow the fuck up"? I thought you were better than that. Oh well.
