I grew up listening to Jan Peerce, Richard Tucker, and Richard Tauber.

Both Jan and Tucker were cantors and I believe Tauber was a kind of part-time cantor; I am not certain.

Anyhow over the years, I have developed a love of the sound of the cantors.

Here is a famous cantor:

Moshe Koussevitsky singing ANEINU

Good pick. I like all the older Jackson Browne albums. Saw him several times in his prime, both here and in Germany. Big David Lindley fan too.

I am in the habit of listening to "Doctor My Eyes" probably once a month, just to hear the guitar solo from Jesse Ed Davis. Browne tells the story about how Jesse Ed walked into the studio, listened one time to the tracks already laid down, said "OK, I'm good", and did the solo...one take.

I am also a fan of David Lindley and in particular this live performance with Jackson Browne...

Mercury Blues - En Vivo Con Tino

PS - one other cut on this album "The Next Voice You Hear"...just fabulous.
