Strange Weather

Got out this afternoon a little before 3:00 (15:00 hours for you military guys) to find some parts for my grill. Car info screen said it was 90 degrees. My eyes said it was sunny. The appliance store is next to a thrift store, so my quick trip was a bit longer than I planned. By the time I got out of the thrift store, it looked like it was night-time with the dark clouds. After I started home, the rain was going sideways. By the time I got home, the info screen said it was 66 degrees - a 24 degree drop in less than an hour.

Will Rogers said it about the Midwest - if you don't like the weather, wait a minute.

Regards,

D-Ray

I reached 93 here thursday night and it was a hot, humid, miserable mess at work.
I checked the weather at 6 a.m. and it was still 88 degrees. By the time I got home at 7:15 it was 76. Took a five hour nap, woke up about 3 p.m. and it was 72. Last night and today have been absolutely gorgeous.

It's sad whenever an attorney is reduced to shopping at the thrift store.

I just had to say it!!!

As far as that goes, the storm got here a couple of hours ago.

If I were smart, I would have been sitting on my screened in porch, drinking beer, and watching it rain...instead of wasting my time with you mugs.

Chas

My Salvation Army this weekend had a Chinese style dining table...the black one with the sort of ivory figures and leaves carved into the wood (along with the chairs) that was priced at $2000....someone bought it as well as the really nice leather living room set they had for $3000. They were half off but I am pretty sure the middle class is very much shopping there.

You must live in the "Golden State". There is nothing in our local thrifts that fancy or that expensive. For the most part, it's just a bunch of junk.

I always like George Carlin's weather forecast. The weather for tonight, dark, followed by widely scattered light in the morning...and remember, if you don't like the weather, move.
