Crazy Monsoon Storm...

out here in Phoenix. There was a bang of thunder that sounded like a bomb & all of my power went out for a second, & now my A.C. doesn't work.
It was intense!

Pretty hot looking weather chick you got out there.

I LOVE violent storms, right up to the point they flood the basement and rip the roof off.....that's where the fun stops. I enjoyed Isabel even though the power was off for six days. Kept fed by clearing downed trees with my chainsaw. Grateful neighbors..............

Yeah...this storm wouldn't even have gotten your attention after doing the hurricane thing.

Lightning is cool, though. I remember the night a bolt blew apart the apple tree outside my bedroom window in Ohio. Split the trunk right down the middle and knocked every apple on the ground. Just before it hit, I could feel the charge in the air, the hair on my arms stood up.

Lightning kept blowing the short-restart prevention board in my AC, so I bypassed it, depending on the thermal cutout in the compressor which has never failed. Also have had to replace the combo phase cap once to get it going again.

I miss those. For some reason, they're extremely rare in the Bay Area and, on the rare occasions when they do happen, they're over the Bay itself which is around 30 miles away.

I immensely enjoyed watching offshore thunderstorms playing over the water in the Atlantic gulf several years ago.
