But they were listed on the 19th, so they aren't the ones just seen in the Chicago sale....

Estate sale people have to price big items where their customer wants them priced. I'm sure the owner got at least half what he paid for these, which, if he bought them new, was probably around $7,500 bucks. If he bought them used for half that, it's possible he only wanted half that. I wouldn't have been interested for 2 grand. Probably not for a thousand, so it would have just been a ride just to take a look at them. Along with the other pair of newer B&W's he had and the pile of B&O electronics, including the cool B&O 8002 magnetic drive TT that I don't want or need.

So I pretty much knew I wouldn't be spending the money for any of it...so the whole thing was sort of a dreamy fantasy anyway.

Around here estate sales seem much more expensive than they used to.
