I'm beginning to think that all the hot air emanating from the blow hard media in New York is weakening Irene. She's now down to a Cat 1 and I heard the eye is collapsing. How's it going out there in the East.

Good news! My sister had ten more gallons of gas in her shed. If we lose power, that's a total of 22 gallons for the 5,800 watt generator. That'll hold us for a couple days, anyhow. Maybe longer if I shut it down periodically.
She also has a few steaks, some chicken breasts and forty pounds of charcoal. So long as none of these three HUGE oaks in my yard end up in the house, I think were gonna be alright. Just need more beer. Dave

Good luck to all you Right Coasters. That doesn't look like fun unless you're a die hard surfer. I sincerely hope that there isn't a lot of damage and looting.
