Trump Judge Cannon sets trial date for May 2024

OK that's good...but let's see if it lasts with this judge.

Quote:
CNN 7/22/23 - A federal judge ordered Friday that the trial in the classified documents case that special counsel Jack Smith brought against former President Donald Trump begin in May 2024.

US District Judge Aileen Cannon said that the trial could begin as early as May 20. A pretrial hearing in the case will be held on May 14.

If that timeline holds, then the trial would fall deep in the 2024 race for the White House, coming amid multiple GOP presidential primaries. It would be a rebuke to Trump and his legal team, who wanted to postpone the trial until after the general election takes place in November 2024.
We shall see if Trump is able to stifle his typical reactive narcissistic behavior when he doesn't get what he wants. Will Judge Cannon get the same feedback as Kinzinger, Cheney, Kemp, Willard, Murkowski and other Republicans who aren't kissing his zit-covered, cellulite ridden, fat white ass?

It would be so fucking good if the deranged orange animal finally shoots himself in the head by going after a federal court judge. One can only hope.

And, of course we have this from the NYT:

Quote:
On an Iowa radio show on Tuesday, Trump warned it would be “very dangerous” if Smith jailed him, since his supporters have “much more passion than they had in 2020.”
The only guy who can threaten violence and get away with it. Well, perhaps as Dr. Lecter once remarked to Clarice..."not anymore."
