The space junk you allude to is tracked continuously and the reason being that when we (humans) launch new satellites, we need to know where to place the satellites, otherwise they will crash into each other otherwise causing a pileup. This will be a communications Armageddon. The junk is the satellites that are no longer in use and allowed to stay in orbit since no one seems to know what to do with them, so we watch them very closely.
And if there are aliens, so be it. I look at it from the other side, to prove existence, show me some evidence. If not, this is the same argument the Trumpers use to claim fraud in the 2020 election. "Just because we haven't found any evidence does not mean it did not happen. We have not looked "deep" enough. So when does one stop digging to unearth this evidence?
