Nah, he knows it happened. He's just operating on the (false) premise that since the Senate refused to convict him that his guy's innocent, pure as the driven snow. This being a thread he started he's just defensively trolling us, disagreeing with anything we say. Since nobody here has lept to Menendez's defense he's got to keep it going somehow.

Its pretty clear that the Republican Party has become the party of dismantling the system of governance under which this country has been operating since the founding. And what the Republican party and those who vote for their candidates want is some combination of autocracy, plutocracy, and theocracy. How ironic that the right-wing habitual defenders of the Constitution are those who are working directly to tear it down.

This guy is a big enough scumbag to be a Republican, it appears. Maybe he should resign from the Senate and run for Speaker of the House.
