More zero tolerance.

Which I've come to believe actually means 'zero intelligence'.

".......

Last Thursday, sixth-grader Adrionna Harris saw a classmate cutting his arm at Bayside Middle School was a small razor.

Rachael Harris, Adrionna’s mother, said, “I feel she did the right thing under the circumstances. She thought he would bleed out. He was cutting himself and there is no teacher in sight. It was a 911 situation and there wasn’t time to find a teacher.”

Adrionna took the razor blade away from the boy, convincing him that he didn’t need to hurt himself.

Adrionna says she threw away the razor immediately and told school officials.

However, they took her act as violation of the school’s zero tolerance policy on weapons.

Instead of getting praise for quick-thinking, she received a 10 day suspension with a recommendation for expulsion.

Adrionna says, “I was just trying to help.”

She didn't get expelled but STILL served a week suspension.

Yep, and the right has plenty of paid trolls out there to make sure every instance like this gets plenty of play in on the internet.

As if a private school is immune. No one ever heard of a martinet teacher abusing kids at a private school?

It's a matter of power and bureaucracy. Institutions giving people direct control over other people are prone to this sort of idiocy. It's a thing to be alert for at all times.

Private schools can hide this sort of behavior better. And since it's not tax dollar supported the stupidity is excused... even defended, cause corporate American can do no wrong.

Probably Republicans.

When I started working for the Florida DOT in the 1970's it was common for people to bring guns to work to show their friends or to trade them. If someone went on a trip in a state vehicle it was not unusual to throw a gun into the glove box for protection.

That was when we had a Democratic Legislature and Governor.

Then, when Jeb Bush and the Republicans swept into power in 1998 all of a sudden having a gun at work became a firing offense. Even having one in your car out in the parking lot. And we started having to go to mandatory "Violence in the Wokplace" Training.

So explain that to me Pete.

It's projection Tom. Take Kansas for instance. Controlled by republican legislatures for decades, they bitch and moan constantly here about the "tax and spend big government democrats", but Kansas has some of the highest taxes and biggest oppressive government around. ALL implemented by republicans. And those republican Kansas folks keep voting more and more taxes upon themselves, then they turn around and vilify democrats who have absolutely no influence in Kansas, for high taxes and too much government.....

All lies upon more lies believed by people too stupid to believe what can be clearly seen in a mirror.

I can't Tom. Here in Ohio it was the right who passed CCW.

Government is going to get in your face on occasion, be it the right, or the left.

But quite frankly I much prefer the ways the left does than the ways the right does.
