Debit Card Failure Delays Payment To Workers

I can't believe American workers let this happen to them.
I had to go on direct deposit at my second job to avoid this crap.

I guess companies save on paying humans to manage payroll while screwing the most vulnerable workers in the process. And of course the ATM and transaction fees go back to the debit card company.

These type of card serves a community which does not have many options, albeit at a somewhat high price...fees, fees.

Activists on behave of the working poor should strive to get rid of the no class action related to such cards.

Checking accounts cost hardly anything. Just put it in the bank.

The employer may not be offering direct deposit. Or cash. Varies by state.

But because of the mandatory arbitration clause in the cardholder agreement, which also bans class-action lawsuits, customers are limited in their ability to fight back.
This contract provision should be voided on the grounds of being 'contrary to the public interest.' Possibly it can be.

That will do it.

I checked - if someone bounces checks or otherwise f*&ks up their credit, there are other options besides those sketchy cards.
