The Trump Crime Family - Legal Issues

McConnell voted against an impeachment which could have barred Trump from holding office again. He said the justice system could take care of Trump. Today we have Republicans decrying the justice systems attempt to hold Trump accountable and threatening to defund the FBI if it does.

Nah, not fascist. Nope.

The Trump Crime Family - Legal Issues

The top financial partner of former president Donald Trump’s media company violated antifraud provisions and misled investors about its initial plans to take the owner of Trump’s Truth Social website public, the Securities and Exchange Commission said Thursday.

Digital World Acquisition — the special-purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, that had planned to merge with Trump’s company — agreed to pay $18 million if its merger concludes and revise its false filings to comply with securities laws, SEC officials said in a statement.

Digital World’s share price has plunged to $13, down from a high of $175.

Everything tied to Trump is a grift. Everything.

Florida District Judge Aileen Cannon on Friday set the trial date in the classified documents case against former President Trump for May 20, 2024, per a court filing.

Why it matters: The trial will likely begin after the Republican nominee in the crowded GOP field is crowned, and as the general election is heating up.

LOL.

I fear this trial and others will never happen. There will be a loud outcry to postpone until after the election. Getting louder and louder as the election season heats up.

Consider for a moment that the most prolific and unrepentant criminal in our political history is the head of the law and order party (and they still overwhelmingly support and defend him).

Doubt the Repugnant criminals in the House can postpone the trial except the one in Florida, and even that one seems a bit far fetched now. By postponing, the Feds (DC Insurrection case) will be admitting that this is to avoid swinging the election. But the crime was committed before the current four year term and they will not have a leg to stand on. In a just world, he would never be the nominee and his party should have shunned him instead of embracing him.

The Trump Crime Family - Legal Issues

-Oct. 2: New York civil fraud trial
-Jan. 15: Second E. Jean Carroll civil defamation trial
-March 25: Manhattan hush-money trial
-May 20: Federal classified documents trial in Florida

And he has two forthcoming indictments for Jan 6 and Georgia. This career criminal cannot catch a break. He is going to have a busy year in the courtrooms of America.

I feel the only outcry will be from a portion of the GOP. The only genuine reason for a delay would be to allow him to cancel the trial if elected or to create mayhem if he loses. If the truth keeps him from getting elected, let 'er rip. If the Republican nominee gets convicted before the election too damn bad. They knew what they were buying in the first place despite all the denial going on. They should have made a better choice in the first place.

I don't pin much hope on Trump going to trial soon.

Understand this, smells of a CULT in how they are acting. There is a BIG silent segment of Trump supporters who choose to be so. Unwilling to defend or argue their views and the GOP knows this. Afraid are the fools who think they are in charge of the party. They created a beast with first the Tea Party morphing to the present day just plain FDumb Party.

Sorry I fear this will need to play out to the bitter end. This GOP will not let up until the take over. Then as history has shown in the past they will be replaced rather quickly by a Authoritarian that will put Putin to shame. It will not be Trump rather someone else sitting back being patient.

Trump will not 'win' in 2024 unless another coup is successful. I don't think it will be, though I agree with you that they will try. But if they do, I expect California and other places to secede rather than recognize Trump as President a second time. And I expect to be a refugee headed for such a place.
