A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
In my last thread Bobabode recommended to me to learn to converse in English. I decided not to post here anymore until I would have learned to converse in English. Anyway there was a quite interesting issue that happened at AK at Christmas and I would like to share it with you. I replaced my tube gear avatar by my PC avatar a week ago and considered it and still consider it as a symbol of friendship and reconciliation between two nations. Well - when I opened the AK on Christmas Morning I encountered a pm without "Hello", without "Regards" - just this sentence by AK member "Jim West PA": Just wanted to let you know that my familiy, all American Military, are seriously offended by the way you deface our Nation's flag in your avatar. Moderator RichPA told me that the avatar is okay. It was generally considered to be a temporary one and I wanted to replace it by a gear avatar again on January 2nd. However - I already replaced it. My avatar is not a denigrated USA flag, it is just a picture of a phantasy flag. I will not participate in the discussion but I would be grateful for some statements.

Chris, any time one expresses an opinion or a sentiment, there will be someone who will disagree with it. I believe that I understand the sentiment expressed in your avatar, and appreciate it. Please feel free to continue to express yourself here, whether symbolically or verbally.

Ah yes, posting under the influence. Or maybe posting while ignorant too I suppose. F'em is what I say to those who feel big when hiding behind a keyboard.
BtW, I do not come here for grammer lessons and when I was mod next door I even received nasty emails for not correcting somebody's posts. I so wanted to email these people back and tell them to try a larger size of undershorts. But I didn't.... I have never had problems understanding you and hope you consider to continue posting your best efforts, your posts are always honest and fair and I enjoy them. On another board that has a shoutbox a Brazilian lady always posted "Happy Fryday" until some ass had to correct her and she got all self concious about it. So every Friday I can I make sure to post "Happy Fryday!" to her. But then I rather enjoy the whole scroe thing too.  Carl
