So************************m leads to Communism, communism leads to tyranny.

So does fascism. As far as the effect on people, citizens, profiterole (I KNOW, it's not spelt that way but spellchecker's overheated again. It should be pronounced pro-lat-ear-e-at), are concerned, the effects of extreme right are just as bad as extreme left.

For all the traditional British grouching, I think we've got the balance about right. As a single example good medical care for all paid for by the State. You fall ill or get injured the first thing they check is your pulse, not your bank balance.

For your information budgetaudio66, social democracy is different from soci@lism which is different from communism. The better run social democracies have the highest quality of living in the world.

Your simplistic view in conflating social democracy with soci@lism and communism is akin to likening conservatism with fascism or nihilism.

From the contents of most of your posts, it seems to me that you need a lot more studying and a lot less Fox News and talk radio listening.

I thought the domino theory died in the 70s.

A study of history will show that so************************m is not the basis of a totalitarian state in Russia. Russia simply exchanged a totalitarian state under a Czar for one under a Politburo. The role that the Politburo played in the country was more a function of the social structure of Russia than an economic system.

So************************m leads to Communism, communism leads to tyranny. I hate to think of that happening to our country...and its headed down that path albeit slowly.
And we here in freedom loving America have a nation run by corporations, for corporations and to hell with the citizens. they already own a majority of the Roberts court as well as both parties, especially the GOP.

You want real freedom? Go North or go to the British Isles or northern Europe.

Stop worring about Obama and be afraid of the Chamberpot of Commerce and Tom Donohue.

Proletariat.

And, you're exactly right. We had a pretty tumultuous rebellion against far right, corporatist fascism in this country over the last century. And now we have a strong movement to return to those days, by people too young to understand what they are asking for.

And, no, I'm not talking about 20-somethings, I'm talking about middle-aged idiots who grew up in the 1960s, '70s and '80s.

The very moment that someone bemoans what a horrid a so************************t learning nation the United States is becomes the moment wherein I realize they know nothing about so************************m.

Not to mention "totalitarian so(c)ialism".

What a joke. You have GOT to be kidding me.

When I hear this crap all it does is further confirm my belief that my fellow countrymen are nothing but a bunch of fools who expect a free pass to success.
