But the issue now is that the radical element in Islam is fairly small. We made them militant in the first place to fight our battle with the Soviets. Then we abandoned them. Now we do all we can to make their (radical Islam) popularity spread, and keep turning more unhappy kids into insurgents or terrorists.

And just to clarify, I understand what can happen in war. A lot of it I am just real happy that I don't know anything about it. However, it is beyond stupid to not only film it, but to load it onto YouTube.

Wonder what you all would say if it was a bunch of Taliban fighters peeing on our dead. A bunch of savages, no doubt!

It is one thing to cut some slack for the guys on the front lines and their response to aggression and the heat of battle. It is quite another thing to glorify behavior that is completely lacking in decency. I thought that there was such a thing as respect for a fallen warrior.

Bad taste for sure. Better to have gone back to the tactics of Pershing, keep a few alive, have them watch all the ammo being dipped in pigs blood, wrap them in pig skins and send them back to their comrades with news of what awaits if they mess with us.

I figured after watching the news last evening this fiasco would be all over PC this morning. Filming it was dumb, but I do not recall this much breast beating when the Taliban chopped up the bodies of our soldiers and hung them from bridges.
