Sounds like a TSA agent targeting other TSA employees. Workplace violence. Yikes.

Only reason this happened is a lack of guns at LAX. If everyone would have been armed, he would have never tried it!

Condolences to the family of the TSA agent murdered. Kudos to the LEOs on scene for ending this as quickly as possible. I hope the shooter lives so we can find out what the hell he was thinking.

Apparently he was out to rid the world of "....TSA and pigs....".
That really clears things up.

"Authorities found an anti-government note next to the man who allegedly opened fire at LAX on Friday, according to law enforcement sources.
In the note, Paul Ciancia, 23, expressed “his disappointment with government” and said he had no intent to target or harm people he considered innocent bystanders, one source told The Times."

Suicidal text sent to brother. WTF, man. We need some better way to deal with the mentally ill. Oh and btw, it was a .223 AR 15 used.
Removing assault rifles from society altogether seems to be the rational response to these ever increasing mass shootings. I'm on the fence about other firearms.
A citizen's right to be safe in their person and our right to life trumps any other subsequent rights enumerated in the constitution.

Yet another case where psych intervention could have saved lives. We always call the medics when someone breaks a bone, why don't we when their thinkers start smoking and emitting sparks?
