And, that IS what is at the heart of it.

Then, we are told that these things are proof that what we need is MORE gun proliferation................ So, that we can protect ourselves from the "Bad Guys", that their will assuredly be ever more of as access to firearms remains, or in some states, becomes even more liberal.

How many more times are we going to try putting this fire out with gasoline?

No, it isn't. Because a right many of us don't want it to. They think that an individual having the right to do whatever the hell he pleases with as many of the deadliest weapons he can find IS WHAT MAKES THIS COUNTRY GREAT.
